In a world where “specialty coffee” has become a trend, at Perpetuo we believe that what's truly special isn’t a marketing cliché — it's something you cultivate, care for, and share with authenticity.
That’s why those who visit us —at our shop or on the farm— fall in love not only with the flavor of our coffee, but also with everything behind it: a living story, a unique origin, and a clear purpose.
Here’s why Perpetuo Café de Altura isn’t just another brand trying to be “specialty". It’s a brand that is genuinely special, different from the ground up.
☕ Incredible, Unique and Traceable Flavors
At Perpetuo, we don’t buy coffee from third parties — we grow it ourselves at Finca El Rosal, located in Vereda Las Mercedes, Santa Bárbara, Antioquia, at over 1,800 meters above sea level. There, 11,000 coffee trees of the Castillo and Castillo Rosario varieties thrive, carefully cultivated with techniques that respect nature and express the best of our terroir.
Each harvest is processed with precision: natural, honey, and washed fermentations; drying on raised beds; and roasting tailored to each profile. The result? High-singularity microlots with exceptional flavors, consistently scoring above 86 points on the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) scale.
What does that mean? Our coffees are not only clean and balanced — they shine with sweetness, aromatic complexity, bright acidity, silky body, and a lingering finish. In short: world-class coffee that’s hard to forget. It’s extremely rare to find coffees scoring over 86 SCA points outside of competitions or elite events — and almost unheard of in commercial offerings.
But that’s just the beginning. Each microlot tells a story. We share the full process: growing conditions, rainfall and temperature, handpicking, floating to select only the very best cherries, fermentation recipes (timing, stages — everything that’s not part of our secret recipe), drying, milling, and roasting — and how all of it shapes what you taste in the cup. Tasting notes like ripe banana, tropical fruits, caramel or dark chocolate aren’t a coincidence — they’re the direct result of a process you can know, trace and enjoy. This kind of sensory traceability is something very few brands can offer, because few —very few— truly grow and craft their coffee from start to finish.
🌱 Legacy, Sustainability and Inclusion
Perpetuo is a brand with deep roots. Its name wasn’t invented by a marketing agency — it was born to make our grandparents’ legacy perpetual. They cultivated this land before us and taught us to work with effort, gratitude and respect.
Today, that legacy lives on in a modern company, founded and led by a woman, that honors that inheritance not with words, but with actions:
We support women in both rural and urban roles.
We promote a fair and inclusive business model.
We care for the land through sustainable farming practices.
We protect the biodiversity that surrounds us.
And the sparrow in our logo? That’s not a design choice. It’s the Zonotrichia capensis, the crowned sparrow — one of many bird species that live in our high-altitude coffee fields, and a symbol of our commitment to the ecosystems we share.
At Perpetuo, we believe every cup should leave a positive impact, and that the best flavor is one that comes with purpose.
🏡 Immersive and Authentic Experiences
At Perpetuo, coffee isn’t just served — it’s experienced. Our shop in Sabaneta was designed to evoke the warm, rustic feel of El Rosal. Here, we don’t just pour drinks — we brew your coffee in front of you, using methods like V60, Chemex, French press or AeroPress, selected based on the seasonal microlot and your flavor preferences.
You can choose your method, your profile — or let our barista surprise you. Looking for something different? We offer cold beverages in constant experimentation, like our signature Cold Brew, perfected over years of testing — a smooth, sweet, highly caffeinated coffee full of complexity.
And to complement it, our fine pastries are made to pair perfectly with our coffees: Carrot cake, almojábana cake, Basque cheesecake, milhojas, cookies, croissants, and more.
Fell in love with the ritual? Bring it home — with our brewing tools, gift boxes, or our coffee available ground or whole bean.
And if you want to go even deeper, we welcome you to the farm. Join us for guided tours where you’ll discover the growing, harvesting and processing journey, the aromas, the wildlife, and the story behind our coffee. Or sign up for cupping and barista workshops, both at the farm and in our store.
Because we believe the best coffee is the one that truly connects — with the origin, with knowledge, and with your senses.
✨ What’s Truly Special Is Cultivated
Perpetuo isn’t just a product. It’s a lived experience. It’s the result of doing things right — from the field to the cup. Of honoring origin. Of adding value at every step. Of believing that great coffee isn’t just about flavor, but about intention.
If you’re looking for coffee that’s truly special — that you can understand, feel, live and share — you’ve found it.
Perpetuo Café de Altura. From our farm to your cup.
