A coffee cupping workshop is a sensory and educational experience focused on identifying, describing, and enjoying the aromas, flavors, and textures of coffee. Unlike the barista workshop —which teaches brewing techniques— cupping is about tasting and analyzing coffee to uncover its sensory profile by comparing coffees of different varieties, processes, and origins.
Discover the Taste of Origin
👃 Want to learn how to identify coffee flavor notes like a pro? Our cupping workshop is designed to help you develop your palate, understand how variety, processing, and roast influence the cup, and enjoy coffee with all your senses.
In this short workshop (< 3 hours), you won't be brewing coffee —like in the barista course— but rather tasting it professionally, learning to compare different flavor profiles and recognize aroma, flavor, body, acidity, and aftertaste.
📍 What’s included in the cupping workshop?*
🔬 Introduction to coffee sensory analysis
🌱 Exploration of coffee varieties, processing methods, and roast levels
☕ Professional cupping of several coffees, following SCA protocols
👃 Aroma and flavor recognition exercises using specialized tools
📝 Printed cupping guide and tasting notes to take home
🎁 Perpetuo coffee sample for further exploration
📜 Certificate of participation - This is not a certificate of approval and is not valid to demonstrate competence in coffee cupping. It is only a keepsake of your experience.
*The workshop content and activities, their duration and price may vary depending on how they are organized and agreed upon at the time of scheduling. Minimum and maximum number of participants apply. For more information and reservations: 📧 contacto@perpetuocafe.com 📲 +57 313 794 2100
A short workshop is a one-time practical experience. It should not be confused with a course, which is a more complete and structured learning process.
